This September, Addis Ababa turns into the hub of climate leadership as the African Union Commission (AUC) and the Ethiopian Government host the Second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2) from 8–10 September 2025, with pre-summit events running from 5–7 September.
Why It Matters
ACS2 is more than a summit; it’s a bold declaration of African-led climate solutions and financing. Under the theme “Accelerating Global Climate Solutions: Financing for Africa’s Resilient and Green Development,” the Summit aims to:
- Influence key global forums like COP30, G20, and UNGA.
- Showcase African innovations in climate adaptation and mitigation.
- Champion equitable climate finance and a fairer global response.
